What made your university special? What were the facilities where you studied and the university equipment like?
Na univerzite samotnej som ani raz nebola, každý deň som chodila do univerzitnej laborky, ktorá sídlí v oddelenej budove. Budova zvonka vypada dosť neatraktívne, ale je to preto že je v rekonštrukcii. Zvnútra to bolo velmi pekne zariadene. laborka bola priestranná a vybavená najnovšími prístrojmi. Mimo samotnej laborky sa tam nachadzali pekne zariadené kancelárie. V jedenj z nich som mala svoj stol a počítač.

Studenti maju rovnocenné postavenie v organizácii. Prístup bol ku mne milý, čokolvek som potrebovala, tak mi vyšli v ustrety. Ano doporučila by som toto miesto dalším stažistom z profesionalneho hladiska.
What is student life like at university?
Did you study in English or in the language of the host country? What language requirements does the university have?
V laboratoriu, kde su všetci vedci čo publikuju v angličtine, bolo možné sa anglicky dohovorit. Aj keď jednoduchšie bolo občas prepnut do francuzštiny, pretože mali troška problem porozumiet angličtine.

Mesto Poitiers bolo kludné, študentské cca 90000obyv. V meste je zaujimavé staršie centrum, ktoré ma chutné historické budovy. Celkovo prehliadka centra zaberie asi hodinu. Za navševu stoji zabavný park futuroskop ktorý je na okraji mesta. Okolo internatu boli konske jizdarny a pekná príroda.

In your experience, how far does the scholarship go? What percentage of your expenses did it cover? What is your opinion on prices in the country in general?
Ceny vo Francuzsku boli na moj vkus vysoke. Ak sa človek stravoval v kantýnach najedol sa aj do 7 eur, avšak fastfoody sa pohybovali vyššie, od 10-15 eur a reštauracie okolo 17 eur a viac. Týždenný nakup za jedlo ma vyšiel tak 70-80 eur. Celkovo mi Erasmus pokryl asi 70% výdajov. Na výlety peniaze moc neboli. I cestovanie v krajine je velmi drahé. Ubytovanie na internáte za 9m2 izbu ma vyšlo 240 eur mesačne.

No najlepšie je si na internáte variť. Žiadne reštauracie ani kantýny.

Zvolila som ubytovanie na koleji Descartes v Poitiers. Ubytovanie bolo najlacnejšie zo všetkých k dispozícii. Internát je pekný i keď izba je malá. Cena je dobrá, všetko ostatné drahšie nedoporučujem inač by ste važne s peniazmi nevystačili ani nahodou.
