Nemocnica, v ktorej som absolvovala stáž sa nachádzala v krásnom prostredí. Pracovníci boli veľmi milí a vždy mi poradili a pomohli.

Študenti boli zoznámení s chodom oddelenia, boli prítomní pri práci na oddelení, akútnom príjme ako aj chronických ambulanciách.

Na stáži som komunikovala v angličtine, ktorú personál dobre ovláda a všetko ochotne vysvetlí.

Funchal je krásne mesto s historickým centrom a promenádou pri oceáne. Dajú sa odtiaľ podnikať výlety do prírody, prípadne počas daždivých dní návštevy rôznych múzeí.

Štipendium viac menej presne pokrylo náklady na dopravu, ubytovanie a stravu. Miestne ceny sú porovnateľné s ČR.

Určite odporúčam nakupovať v klasických potravinách, pretože rôzne známe tržnice sú určené pre turistov, a teda ceny tam sú nadhodnotené.

Moje ubytovanie bola garsonka 1+kk vo skvelej lokalite blízko centra aj nemocnice. Taktiež sa dá nájsť ubytovanie na koleji. Odporúčam hľadať si ubytovanie na miestnych portugalských stránkach a skontrolovať si, ako dlho bude potrebné cestovať do nemonice a centra.

Počas pobytu som precestovala väčšinu ostrova. Určite je lepšie mať prenajaté auto, to som však nemala, preto som využívala autobusy. Medzimestské autobusy nejazdia veľmi často, výlet je nutné si dobre naplánovať a často je to skutočné dobrodružstvo, avšak takto má človek kontakt s miestnymi a s autentickou kultúrou.

Madeirania sú veľmi milí a prívetíví. Aj napriek jazykovej bariére vždy ochotne pomôžu, nasmerujú, dajú miestne tipy...

Prostredie a príroda Madeiry sú skutočne prekrásne. Miestna oceánska klíma je pre nás, stredoeurópanov, veľmi exotická, a v takomto exotickom duchu sa niesol celý môj pobyt. Taktiež by som rada upozornila na miestnu kuchyňu, ktorá je skvelá. Dajú sa ochutnať miestne ryby, mäso, koláče a alkohol.

Na Madeire občas silno fúka a vtedy nemôžu pristávať lietadlá, teda sa na ostrov nedostanete. Je to vec, ktorá sa občas môže stať, nedá sa s tým nič robiť, iba počkať na zlepšenie počasia. Je fajn o tom vedieť, aby ste potom zbytočne nestresovali.

Skutočne všetci boli ochotní mi pomôcť.

Plánovať si výlety miestnymi autobusmi. Dalo to veľa práce s mapami a cestovnými poriadkami.
