What is the first thing that comes to mind when you think about your "adoptive" university? What made it special? What were the premises where you studied and the university facilities like?
Pristup byl pododobny, ferovy. Rozdil byl ve zkouseni - misto testu ci ustnich zkousek bylo obvykle ukoncovat predmet eseji na ktere se pracovalo v prubehu semestru, popripade eseji jako take-home exam -- clovek mel napr 3 dny na napsani eseje na dane tema, mohl na tom pracovat doma ci v knihovně.
What is student life like at university?
Obcas, ja se o to moc nezajimal. Byly napr casto Language cafe, kde mistni studenti pomahali ostatnim s ucenim se jazyka (norstiny).
Na zacatku semestru byl seznamovaci tyden -- ten pomohl hodne pri seznamovani s ostatnimi novymi international studenty.

V anglictine. Nevim, jake jsou pozadavky, zadny problem nebyl.

Moderni, cistotne, klidne (aspon behem covidu). Kolem Osla je pekna priroda, da se dojet hromadnou dopravou na nekterou z konecnych a od tam vyrazit dal do prirody.
Dale jsou zajimave male ostruvky na jihu Osla, kam se da dojet hromadnou dopravou (ferry).

In your experience, how far does the scholarship go? What percentage of your expenses did it cover? What is your opinion on prices in the country in general?
Norsko je hodne drahe, stipendium zdaleka nestaci. Mne pokrylo cca 50 %. Kdybych dostal misto na kolejich, bylo by to o neco levnejsi, bohuzel jsem nedostal.
Do restauraci ci hospod jsem vubec nechodil, kvuli cenam. Ale kdyz si clovek vari jidla doma a kupuje levne znacky, da se mit napr jidlo 1 porci za 30 kc (tj cca 12 nok).

Idealne dostat misto na kolejich - prihlasit se co nejdriv - jsou o neco levnejsi nez alternativy. Kupovat se da napr v potr retezci Rema1000, kde jsou ceny zakladnich surovin (ryze, spagety, rajcata v konzerve,...) srovnatelne s Ceskem.

Soukromy byt, lepsi je kolej.

Ano, norska priroda je krasna. Byli jsme na zapade (u Bergenu) u fjordu se stanem, a na severu v Tromsu na polarni zari. Diporucuji. Ale je to daleko, Norsko je velke, do Tromsa je potreba letet letadlem, do Bergenu je to vlakem asi 7 hodin.

Trochu jsem se naucil norsky, jen uplne zaklady, ke studiu nebylo potreba. V Norsku v postate vsichni umi dibre anglicky. Norstina je mimichodem moc pekny jazyk.

Norsko jsem si vybral hlavne kvuli krasne prirode a kvuli kvalitni univerzite.

Jidlo jako napr orisky -- kupovat takove veci v Norsku vychazi dost draho.
