First of all, Alma Mater Studorium Universita di Bologna is the oldest university in the world, the tradition and the history of its campuses and buildings is really unique. Not everyone has had the opportunity to say: I study at the oldest university in the world. And when you are there, in its classrooms, in its libraries and in the fascinating city of Bologna, you understand how it has endured all these centuries and has received students from all over the world. Many of the buildings that house the university institutes preserve the old style and architecture of the Renaissance, or some a little older, this contrasts with the more modern classrooms but in general all the places where you take classes and study have everything you need.

Describing Bologna is very complex. Despite being a small city, I think it has everything. The history, the beauty, the opportunities. The city center, which preserves the structure of the ancient city (everyone refers to it within the walls, since part of the medieval city wall is still preserved to differentiate it) you find everything you need, most of the The university campuses are there (almost all of them concentrated in the so-called university area) if you manage to get accommodation near this area you will not have to use transportation almost at all, you can walk anywhere within the center or use the bicycle. It is very popular. In this part of Bologna we can feel that there is a lot of bustle during the day and night, many places to drink coffee, study, go to the supermarket, pharmacies, and without a doubt one of my favorite places is Piazza Maggiore, the main square of the city, a cultural and social meeting point.

In my case I found a shared room in a shared apartment for 550 euros per month plus expenses, technically the scholarship only helped me cover the rent and I had to pay the rest of my living costs
