Centre for European Studies (CEPS) Ideas Lab 2026
Brussels | 2-3 March, 2026

The major annual conference of the Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS) – the CEPS Ideas Lab – brings together policy-makers, researchers, business leaders and civil society to debate the major challenges and opportunities facing Europeans, in a series of open, forward-looking and interdisciplinary exchanges. Speakers include European Commissioners, MEPs, EU Ambassadors, think tankers and academics, and business and NGO leaders from across Europe and beyond.
Applications are invited from Master’s and Doctorate students at Charles University in all relevant disciplines, who would like to attend this event. Reasonable travel expenses to and from Brussels, together with accommodation and board during event days will be covered for those selected to participate.

Europaeum Leadership Challenge 2026

In an era of unprecedented global challenges and rapid transformation, effective leadership has never been more critical. The 2026 Europaeum Leadership Challenge will explore leadership in its multiple dimensions – examining contemporary leadership theories, practices, and challenges across different sectors and contexts. The programme will include discussions and opportunities to develop practical skills through experiential sessions with a world-class trainer.
We invite applications from Master’s and Doctorate students at Charles University in any discipline. Reasonable travel expenses to and from Berlin, together with accommodation and board during event days will be covered for those selected to participate.

The Europaeum Spring School 2026
University of Oxford | 13-15 April, 2026

The transatlantic relationship has long been a cornerstone of global politics, economics, and security. From the Marshall Plan and NATO’s founding to contemporary challenges of trade wars, climate cooperation, and digital governance, the partnership between Europe and North America continues to evolve in response to shifting geopolitical realities. Today, this relationship faces unprecedented tests.
We invite applications from Charles University Master’s and Doctorate students in relevant disciplines to attend and discuss this year’s Spring School topic. Students can join as a participant only and if they would like, also, present a 15-minute paper. For a detailed list of the topics, which we welcome papers on, please see our website.
Students, who are offered a place to attend this event will have reasonable travel expenses covered from Prague to Oxford and will be provided with free accommodation and board during event days. The group will be staying at an Oxford University college during this event.

Stipendia na pobyty v Německu od Česko-německého fondu budoucnosti
Česko-německý fond budoucnosti vypsal stipendia na jedno- až dvousemestrální pobyty na německých univerzitách a vysokých školách.
Stipendijní program je určen pro studentky a studenty bakalářských, magisterských a doktorských studijních programů se zájmem o česko-německá témata.
Výše stipendia:
- 900 €/měsíc pro studenty magisterských a doktorských studijních programů
- 650 €/měsíc pro studenty bakalářských studijních programů
- Navíc jednorázový příspěvek na studijní materiály a cestovní výlohy ve výši 900 €, resp. 650 €
Délka pobytu: 1 až 2 semestry

Free Cross-Cultural Course: Strategic Planning and Decision-Making in the Textile and Fashion Industries
Strategic Planning and Decision-Making in the Textile and Fashion Industries program is free of charge and open to students from all academic backgrounds, even those with no prior experience in the fashion or textile industry. Students will have the opportunity to learn cross-culturally with students from the United States that are majoring in a variety of disciplines. The students from NC State University are pursuing a minor degree in Global Leadership & Team Decision-Making where they will learn, live and travel over a nine-week period to the Czech Republic, Scotland, and France.
The purpose of the experience is to provide an opportunity to learn from students from a variety of disciplines and work on projects from different cultures. There will be discussion, organization visits and team projects. The current class will be taught at the NC State European Center in Prague.
Strategic Planning and Decision-Making in the Textile and Fashion Industries, taught by Assistant Professor Lonny Carter
The course provides a framework for understanding and analyzing strategic planning and decision making in the textile and apparel supply chain, from fiber through retail. It integrates theory and practice through lectures, case studies, company visits, and team exercises to provide students with an understanding of the competitive dynamics in the global textile industry, including structural and behavioral components and the role of entrepreneurship.
Meeting Time: Wednesday, January 21 (afternoon, 13:00-16:30) to Wednesday, February 4; details will be discussed each day to accommodate field trips and company visits
Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Analyze competitive problems related to the textile and apparel industries.
- Identify competitive challenges for textile and apparel manufacturers and retailers
- Identify sources of competitive advantages in the textile industry complex.
- Differentiate between tangible and intangible competitive assets.
- Evaluate international corporate strategies.
- Identify the role of leadership, entrepreneurship, and innovation in the integrated global textile industry complex.
- Perform a comprehensive strategic analysis for a textile or apparel company.

Winter School: Intensive Language Programme at Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain
In January Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria organizes Winter School, an intensive Spanish learning program, accompanied by fun and interesting cultural and recreational activities. During the mornings, winter school includes Spanish classes (initial level A1+) and in the afternoons various activities of linguistic immersion and collaborative experiential tourism, which will delight the participating students (surfing, nature trails, cultural visits, excursion to the dunes of Maspalomas, etc.)

Summer Program in Medicine: University of British Columbia, Vancouver
The Faculty of Medicine at the University of British Columbia (UBC) invites students from Charles University to join the 2026 Vancouver Summer Program (VSP) in Medicine. This four-week academic program offers students the opportunity to study at a world-renowned medical school, explore cutting-edge research, and experience life in Vancouver alongside peers from around the globe.
Participants can choose from 11 specialised course packages covering topics such as clinical medicine, computational medicine, anatomy, laboratory sciences, and more. The program also includes cultural activities, city exploration, and opportunities to learn about Canadian society and healthcare. Students may enroll in either the June session or the July session, each featuring a different set of course packages.
