Univerzita na Malte mala špecifické prvky Maltskej architektúry. Priestory boli prevažne moderné, kampus obsahoval jedáleň. V strede sa nachádzala krásna fontána a priestor pre oddych.
What is the first thing that comes to mind when you think about your "adoptive" university? What made it special? What were the premises where you studied and the university facilities like?
Prístup bol zameraný na individuálnu prípravu študenta.
What is student life like at university?
Univerzita ponúka množstvo spolkov a taktiež usporiadava aktivity pre zahraničných študentov.
Did you study in English or in the language of the host country? What language requirements does the university have?
Výuka bola výhradne v anglickom jazyku (nároky sú v rozmedzí od B2-C1)

Malta je nádherná krajina a ponúka množstvo aktracií a nádherných miest od pláži, promenád, útesov po historické centrá miest.

Štipendium (520€) nepokrylo všetky moje výdavky.
Malta patrí medzi drahšie krajiny:
ubytovanie sa pohybuje od 300€- 500€ (na mesiac)
strava je tiež o niečo drahšia ako v ČR a to isté platí aj pre podniky
Please advise your classmates on how to save money—Where to shop? What services can be used to save money?
Je dobré si nájsť lacnejšie ubytovanie.
Malta taktiež ponúka množstvo brigád (prevažne v oblasti služieb).
Pozor na "touristic traps" - predražené zájazdy, reštaurácie atď. Napríklad na ostrov Gozo sa dá ísť trajektom za 5€ nemusíte si kúpiť zájazd za (20-30€).

What type of accommodation did you choose? Would you recommend it to others? If not, what type of accommodation do you think is best based on your experience (dormitory, private apartment, private dormitory, shared room, etc.)?
Zvolila som ubytovanie na koleji (350€/ mesiac). Mala som sdílený pokoj a sociálne zariadenia sme zdieľali medzi 10 osobami (prakticky bez súkromia). Odporúčala by som radšej pohľadať pokoj na byte.

Did you use Erasmus stay to travel around your country/Europe? What are your best travel experiences? What would you not recommend?
Odporúčam vybavenie Tallinja card pre študentov (30€) a platí pre všetky autobusy po ostrove.
Language and culture: what cultural differences did you notice? How did you cope with the national language? Was it also the language of your studies? Do you feel that your language skills improved during your stay?
Jednoznačne som sa zlepšila v anglickom jazyku. Skoro všetci na Malte rozprávali (mimo Maltštiny) veľmi dobrou angličtinou (v podnikoch, obchode, na ulici).

Why here? What makes this location special? Why would you send your friends to your country/city?
Jednoznačne odporúčam pre lokalitu a množstvu nádherných miest na navštívenie (príroda, kultúra, historia a architektúra). Univerzita mala dobrý prístup k internacionálnym študentom.

Síce je Malta malá krajina, dokáže toho ponúknuť neskutočne veľa.

V júni boli veľké teploty, je dobré mať ubytovanie s klimatizáciou.
