What made your university special? What were the facilities where you studied and the university equipment like?
Univerzita byla ve krásných, ale starých prostorách, chybělo místo na samostatné studium, knihovna byla od fakulty poměrně daleko. Líbilo se mi, že jsem vždy věděla, na koho se můžu obrátit, když jsem měla nějaké problémy.
What is the first thing that comes to mind when you think about your "adoptive" university? What made it special? What were the premises where you studied and the university facilities like?
Semestr byl rozložený na tři trimestry, během každého jsem měla jen jeden předmět. Byl mnohem větší důraz na domácí přípravu.
What is student life like at university?
Studentské spolky fungují, univerzita sama aktivity moc nepořádá, ale velmi dopře funguje erasmus network. Bohužel mi nebyla nabídnuta nizozemština jako kurz.
Did you study in English or in the language of the host country? What language requirements does the university have?
Mluvila jsem pouze anglicky, vůbec to nebyl problém.

What was your impression of the city? How would you describe it? What is interesting to see here?
Maličké, ale moc krásné, příjemné, spousta studentů. Hezké na procházky, zbožňovala jsem pekárnu v mlýně a bookshop v kostele. Bohužel krize bydlení je naprosto strašná a spousta lidí (včetně mě) bydlela mimo město.

In your experience, how far does the scholarship go? What percentage of your expenses did it cover? What is your opinion on prices in the country in general?
Stipendium mi pokrylo bydlení; zdaleka nestačí na pokrytí veškerých nákladů, s tím jsem ale počítala. Řekla bych že mi pokry lo tak 60 % výdajů.
Please advise your classmates on how to save money—Where to shop? What services can be used to save money?
Nakupovat ve slevách v Lidlu a Aldi, ne v AH a Jumbu. ESN nabízí kartičku se slevami do některých podniků, tu jsem ale nevyužila.

What type of accommodation did you choose? Would you recommend it to others? If not, what type of accommodation do you think is best based on your experience (dormitory, private apartment, private dormitory, shared room, etc.)?
Moje univerzita koleje vůbec nenabízela. Bydlela jsem v samostatném pokoji se sdílenou kuchyní a koupelnou a nebylo to nic moc. Hlavně doporučuju, aby měli studenti nalezené ubytování než přijedou, znám spoustu lidí, co neměla kde bydlet.

Did you use Erasmus stay to travel around your country/Europe? What are your best travel experiences? What would you not recommend?
Moc doporučuju cestovat po Nizozemsku! Haag, Rotterdam, Amsterdam, všechny jsou krasné a je tam spousta věcí co dělat. Vlaky jsou bohužel celkem drahé, je levnější jezdit Flixbusem, ten ale jezdí méně často.
Language and culture: what cultural differences did you notice? How did you cope with the national language? Was it also the language of your studies? Do you feel that your language skills improved during your stay?
Komunikovala jsem všude v angličtině - protože úplně všichni angličtině rozumí. Nizozemci si chtějí každou platbu přesně rozpočítat na rovné díly a s taškou na sedadle ve vlaku neuhnou ani když je plný.

Why here? What makes this location special? Why would you send your friends to your country/city?
Líbila se mi možnost studovat komprehensivní minor, ve kterém jsem se dozvěděla základy úplně jiného oboru než toho, co studuju. Doporučuju studium v Nizozemí obecně!
