Obrovský relativně nový kampus plný hezkých budov.
What is the first thing that comes to mind when you think about your "adoptive" university? What made it special? What were the premises where you studied and the university facilities like?
Přístup k erasmus studentům stejný jako k místním, učitelé ani nevědí, že jste erasmák. Vzhledem k množství zahraničních studentů vás neprozradí ani případný přízvuk.
What is student life like at university?
Spolků jsou vyšší desítky a to snad pro každý obor lidské činnosti - např. obdivovatelů česneku či příznívců hikingu. Velmi aktivní a skvělá Czech Society plná úžasných chtrých lidí! Kdo pojedete, dejte jim za mě pozdravy. Jinak volnočasové aktivity univerzita nepořádá, suplovat to mohou práve spolky. Volitelné předměty přibližující jazyk a kulturu nebyly.

V angličtině, požadavky nebyly tuším žádné.

Studentské, rušné město, kde se stále něco děje. Spíše industriální charakter. Zážitek sám o sobe je tzv. Curry Mile - milovníci kebabu si přijdou na své.

Stipendium mi pokrylo necelou třetinu nákladů, nicméně jsem hodně cestoval a pobyt si užíval naplno. V UK je ovšem draho, s tím se musí počítat.

Chce.-li člověk ušetřit, nesmí pít v hospodách a jíst v restauracích. Drahé jsou cesty vlakem, takže lepší je jezdit autobousem.

Koleje nic moc, konkrétně oak house hnus, ale na party dobré.

Did you use Erasmus stay to travel around your country/Europe? What are your best travel experiences? What would you not recommend?
cestoval jsem po UK, jak píšu výše, doporučuji jezdit autobusem. doporučuju národní parky peak district a lake disctrict.
Language and culture: what cultural differences did you notice? How did you cope with the national language? Was it also the language of your studies? Do you feel that your language skills improved during your stay?
Britové vidí frontu a stoupnou si do ní, aniž by věděli, na co čekají. Akcent v MCR je velmi specifický a místy jsem měl problémy, ale řekl bych, že je to normální a občas si nerozumí ani britové navzájem, takže velkou hlavu bych si s tím nedělal, domluvit se lze vždycky. Učitelé mluvili vždy perfektní exfordskou angličtinou bez přízvuku.

Angličtinu si člověk procvičí perfektně, univerzita byla přístupem ke studentům skvělá, jen byl poněkud omezený výběr předmětů. Silná česká komunita
