Univerzita je dobře vybavená. Laboratoře jsou moderní.
What is the first thing that comes to mind when you think about your "adoptive" university? What made it special? What were the premises where you studied and the university facilities like?
U určitých předmětů byla možnost splnění tzv. midtermu. Tedy se zkouška rozložila na dvě části v průběhu semestru.
What is student life like at university?
Did you study in English or in the language of the host country? What language requirements does the university have?
Komunikace v angličtině je náročná. Ne všichni vyučující ji ovládají.

Padova je rozhodně studentské město. Na důležitá místa se lze dostat i pěšky. Je zde mnoho míst, kde se dá posedět s kamarády. Na místech jako Prato se určitě potkáte s dalšími Erasmus studenty.

In your experience, how far does the scholarship go? What percentage of your expenses did it cover? What is your opinion on prices in the country in general?
Při nalezení obchodů s ne tak vysokými cenami a při ubytování s cenovou relací kolem 300 € / měsíc lze vyjít se stipendiem. Nestačí však, pokud podniknete alespoň pár výletů.
Please advise your classmates on how to save money—Where to shop? What services can be used to save money?
Obejít obchody a nalézt ten, ve kterém jsou ceny nejpříznivější (Ins). Pohybovat se po městě pěšky či na kole. Vařit si doma. Výlet naplánovat dopředu a nalézt nejlevnější varianty spojů (autobusy většinou).

Ubytování na koleji. Záleží, jaký pokoj je vám přidělen, ale pro krátkodobý pobyt je to rozhodně dobrá volba. Cenově také velmi dobré.

Vlaky mívají často zpoždění, nebo nejedou vůbec. Jsou i vcelku drahé. Cenově nejvýhodnější byla většinou doprava autobusem.
Language and culture: what cultural differences did you notice? How did you cope with the national language? Was it also the language of your studies? Do you feel that your language skills improved during your stay?
Italové všeobecně nemluví anglicky. Komunikace tedy byla složitá, ale většinou jsou velmi přátelští a snaží se pomoci. Jazyk jsem si během pobytu rozhodně zlepšila.

Itálie je krásná země se spoustou dobrého jídla. Lidé jsou milí a jazyk pěkný. Co se týče dopravy a dochvilnosti, je to v Itálii složitější, ale rozhodně převažují kladné dojmy.
