What made your university special? What were the facilities where you studied and the university equipment like?
The opportunity presented by Frjie University Amsterdam enabled me to interact with scholars and researchers from diverse cultural backgrounds, thereby facilitating the enhancement of my communication skills. Additionally, collaborating with highly knowledgeable scholars who shared similar interests provided me with the valuable opportunity to broaden and update my knowledge.
What is the first thing that comes to mind when you think about your "adoptive" university? What made it special? What were the premises where you studied and the university facilities like?
I was welcomed as a research guest at Frjie University Amsterdam, and the university provided valuable support in obtaining permission to utilize their facilities and facilitating my settlement in the city. The professors exhibited openness and willingness to share their experiences and insights, which greatly enriched my internship experience. I highly recommend other interns to seize the opportunity of undertaking their internships at Frjie University Amsterdam.
What is student life like at university?
The university extended an invitation for me to participate in an informative event specifically designed to assist newcomers, including research guests and trainees, in acquiring the essential information needed to settle comfortably in the city and make full use of the university's facilities.

I could easily accomplish my traineeship in English.

Amsterdam, renowned for its cosmopolitan vibe, provides abundant chances to connect with individuals from all around the globe. While the city buzzes with activity, there are peaceful corners to cherish moments of personal pleasure. Additionally, Amsterdam's contemporary infrastructure and efficient layout make navigating the city a smooth affair. However, securing affordable accommodation remains a notable hurdle. On a positive note, utilizing bicycles for getting around can be a budget-friendly option. Notably, Amsterdam's museums are captivating and offer a wealth of fascinating and educational experiences.

In your experience, how far does the scholarship go? What percentage of your expenses did it cover? What is your opinion on prices in the country in general?
Accommodation in Amsterdam comes with a high price tag. As a result, my scholarship only covered the expenses related to housing, leaving me responsible for funding my remaining cost of living from my personal finances.

When it comes to accommodation, utilizing informal student groups on platforms like Facebook is often the most effective way to find shared housing options. As for transportation, the preferred and most convenient choice is using bicycles.

What type of accommodation did you choose? Would you recommend it to others? If not, what type of accommodation do you think is best based on your experience (dormitory, private apartment, private dormitory, shared room, etc.)?
Planning well in advance provides a greater opportunity to secure affordable accommodation in dormitories. However, if you haven't made prior arrangements, you will need to manage it independently. In such cases, finding a shared flat or room remains the best option.

Being in the Netherlands provides you with the opportunity to easily travel to neighboring countries such as Belgium, Germany, France, and the UK. I had the chance to visit Belgium myself and highly recommend this experience to others.
Transportation within the country is incredibly convenient, thanks to the accessibility of public transportation to every destination. However, it is important to note that the cost of transportation can be quite high. I recommend obtaining a public transportation card with discounts and avoiding travel during peak hours to minimize expenses.
Language and culture: what cultural differences did you notice? How did you cope with the national language? Was it also the language of your studies? Do you feel that your language skills improved during your stay?
Learning Dutch is not essential when residing in the Netherlands as English is widely spoken and understood, both in academic and non-academic settings. However, living in Amsterdam offers a unique chance to engage with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds, making it intriguing to learn snippets of their language. It presents an enriching opportunity worth exploring.

When I think of the Sofia Security Forum, the first thing that comes to mind is its dynamic, policy-oriented research environment combined with a strong focus on regional geopolitical issues. What made this organization truly unique was its deep expertise in Black Sea security, the Balkans, and foreign policy strategies of small states, offering a practical, real-world perspective on international relations.
The workspace was professional and collaborative, equipped with all the necessary tools for policy research, monitoring regional security developments, and preparing analytical briefs. Working directly within an active security policy network provided a seamless bridge between academic theory and high-level diplomatic and strategic analysis.

Když se řekne Humbold Uni, jako první se mi vybaví její skvělá atmosféra a lokace v samotném srdci Berlína. Právnická fakulta sídlí v historické budově přímo na hlavní třídě Unter den Linden, takže studium tady má svůj genius loci. Prostory fakulty kombinují klasickou architekturu s moderně vybavenými přednáškovými sály i menšími seminárními místnostmi, takže vajbem je to dost podobné naší právnické fakultě v Praze:)
Jednoznačně největší přednost z hlediska zázemí je nedaleké Jacob-und-Wilhelm-Grimm-Zentrum. Tahle centrální univerzitní knihovna má nejen rozsáhlý fond německé i mezinárodní právní literatury, ale především poskytuje klidný prostor na učení a psaní prací. Celkově je univerzita velmi otevřená, kosmopolitní a vstřícná k zahraničním studentům, takže se člověk rychle aklimatizuje, a zároveň si udržuje vysoký akademický standard.

Dublin City University vlastní poměrně rozlehlý kampus, na kterém najdete všechno od obchodu přes knihovnu až po hospodu. Často se zde konají nejrůznější akce, takže je zde živo. Super je systém Pantry, kde si po přihlášení můžete odnést každý týden domů nějaké potraviny zdarma. Dále nabízí členství spolků v podstatě na všechny aktivity co si dokážete představit, ať už jde o volejbal nebo hraní deskovek. Lidé z místního studijního jsou velmi vstřícní a nemusíte se za nimi jít s žádnou "blbostí". Na začátku semestru si jich užijete, protože začátek semestru se nese ve znamení papírování a systém zapisování/měnění předmětů je hodně matoucí. Jinak je občas ve třídách zima, takže doporučuju nosit teplé oblečení.

Na stáži jsem byla pod hlavičkou PUMS - Poznan University of Medical Sciences. Jde o jednu z předních univerzit v Polsku a určitě poskytuje kvalitní vzdělání. Vzhledem k tomu, že jsem zde byla na praktické stáži, univerzitní prostory jako takové jsem nenavštívila. Komunikace s koordinátorkou pro Erasmus byla velmi dobrá a kdykoliv jsem cokoliv potřebovala, informace jsem dostala obratem.
