Heidelberg is a university city with a long and rich history, with an old town that is well-preserved and where university buildings and student facilities are around each corner. For me being a philosophy student, the uniqueness is in all the famous minds who lived and worked there before.

To study, I mostly used the Main Library, but also the library of the Philosophical Seminar as well as rooms for PhD students in the University Clinic where my supervisor actually had his department. Yet also one of the many Mensa’s (Student Restaurants / Cafeterias) can be used for this purpose, if you like some ambiance. And many Seminars have their own library. The general equipment was ok, but I didn’t need much. In the Clinic it was best to use my own internet via hotspot though.
