What made your university special? What were the facilities where you studied and the university equipment like?
Krásná univerzita s několika historickými budovami.
What is the first thing that comes to mind when you think about your "adoptive" university? What made it special? What were the premises where you studied and the university facilities like?
Semestr začíná dříve než u nás, již cca 2. týden v září. V průběhu semestru jsou týdenní prázdniny. Zkouškové je poté první 2 týdny v lednu s tím že termíny zkoušek jsou pevně dané, na každou zkoušku je jen jeden pokus a opravné termíny jsou až v červnu.
Přednášky obvykle trvají 3 hodiny.

Pro studenty z Erasmu existuje spousta akcí.

Bez francouzštiny si pobyt moc nedovedu představit, učitelé často komunikují ve francouzštině i pokud je daný předmět vyučován v angličtině.

V Paříži člověk nemá šanci stihnout všechno během 1 semestru.

Stipendium mi pokrylo celé ubytování. Jinak ceny jsou mnohem vyšší než u nás.

Jezdit na kole (Vélib) a chodit občas na oběd do resto Crous (menzy).

What type of accommodation did you choose? Would you recommend it to others? If not, what type of accommodation do you think is best based on your experience (dormitory, private apartment, private dormitory, shared room, etc.)?
Z hlediska ubytování doporučuji Crous. Super je i Cité Universitaire, které je ovšem jen pro magisterské studenty. Je potřeba hledat hodně dopředu, pokud chcete získat místo v některé z levnějších rezidencí. Sdílený pronájem podle mě lepší zařizovat až na místě.

Výlety v okolí Paříže, Rouen, Tours a zámky na Loiře, Amsterdam, Brusel.
Language and culture: what cultural differences did you notice? How did you cope with the national language? Was it also the language of your studies? Do you feel that your language skills improved during your stay?
Určitě mnohem lépe rozumím. Francouzi moc anglicky nemluví, takže člověk nemá na výběr.
