about university
What made your university special? What were the facilities where you studied and the university equipment like?
My “adoptive” university was a great place to learn and grow. It had a well-planned program that mixed expert talks with hands-on lab work in cosmetics and pharmacy. The labs had modern equipment, making learning practical and useful. The classrooms were interactive, and teamwork was encouraged. Besides studying, we also visited museums and explored the city, which made the experience even better. Working on a final project with students from different backgrounds helped me improve my problem-solving and teamwork skills. Overall, the university gave me a rich learning experience, combining education, practical skills, and cultural exchange.
What is the first thing that comes to mind when you think about your "adoptive" university? What made it special? What were the premises where you studied and the university facilities like?
The study methods were structured and interactive, with practical exams and teamwork-based learning. Professors were approachable, encouraging discussion and critical thinking. Interns were given real responsibilities, gaining hands-on experience. The organization was welcoming and well-managed. I highly recommend this place for its professional growth, modern facilities, and supportive environment.
What is student life like at university?
University life was well-balanced with academics and social activities. Student associations organized cultural events and networking opportunities. Elective courses introduced the local language and culture. Leisure activities like city tours and museum visits helped students explore and connect. The environment was welcoming, making it a great place for international students.

about accommodation
What type of accommodation did you choose? Would you recommend it to others? If not, what type of accommodation do you think is best based on your experience (dormitory, private apartment, private dormitory, shared room, etc.)?
Kaunas is a student-friendly, historic, and lively city. The Old Town with its cobblestone streets, Kaunas Castle, and Town Hall Square creates a unique atmosphere. The university area is modern and welcoming, The city perfectly blends history, culture, and student life.
about experiences
Did you use Erasmus stay to travel around your country/Europe? What are your best travel experiences? What would you not recommend?
Kaunas had some cultural differences; people were quiet at first but kind. Lithuanian was hard, but many spoke English at the university. I learned simple words for daily life, which helped a lot. My classes were in English, so studying was easy. The experience taught me about a new culture.
Language and culture: what cultural differences did you notice? How did you cope with the national language? Was it also the language of your studies? Do you feel that your language skills improved during your stay?
final rating
Why here? What makes this location special? Why would you send your friends to your country/city?
The university has great teachers, modern classrooms, and hands-on learning, making it a great place to study. Kaunas is affordable, student-friendly, and full of history, with beautiful spots like Old Town and Laisvės Alėja. I recommend it for its good education, friendly people, and exciting cultural experiences.
