Europaeum Events in Autumn for Master’s and PhD students | with travel and board fees covered
This autumn, Europaeum invites students to join three upcoming events:
The Europaeum History & Classics Seminar 2026: Decolonising Europe’s Past
Location: Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität (LMU) Munich
Date: 15 – 17 September, 2026
Deadline for applications: 22 June 2026
This seminar will discuss how historical narratives inform contemporary inequalities, cultural representations, and political debates. Master’s and PhD students from Charles University can apply to attend and if they wish, also present a 15-minute paper on a topic related to the seminar. For those selected to participate, the Europaeum will cover reasonable travel expenses from Prague to Munich and back, as well as accommodation and board during event days.

Brussels Policy Seminar 2026, Europe under Pressure: EU Governance and the Politics of Uncertainty
Location: Brussels
Date: 29 September – 1 October 2026
Deadline for applications: 15 July 2026
The seminar will examine how the Von der Leyen Commission is navigating the present moment of turbulence. It will include visits to EU institutions, talks and discussions. Master’s and PhD students from Charles University can apply to attend. For those selected to participate, the Europaeum will cover reasonable travel expenses from Prague to Brussels and back, as well as accommodation and board during event days.

The Europaeum Technology Forum 2026: Space Governance: The Fragile Frontier
Location: University of Helsinki
Date: 19 – 20 October 2026
Deadline for applications: 31 July 2026
This event will consider the governance of space from an explicitly interdisciplinary perspective. Master’s and PhD students from Charles University can apply to attend and if they wish, also present a 15-minute paper on a topic related to the seminar. For those selected to attend, the Europaeum will cover reasonable travel expenses from Prague to Helsinki and back, as well as accommodation and board during event days.
