Hamburg International Summer School Program is designated to foster global academic collaboration and provide students with unique learning experiences. Each of the programmes promises to provide a rich educational experience, fostering cross-cultural dialogue and collaboration among students from diverse backgrounds.

The Summer Programmes Available:

Particles, Strings, and Cosmology

Information: The school will describe modern issues today in particles, strings and cosmology, and link them to the activities at University of Hamburg and DESY.  Data analysis today requires heavy use of machine learning and AI in particle physics will be introduced.

Date: July 14 - July 25, 2025

Cost: None. (Travel, living expenses, health and liability insurance are at your charge. Also coffee breaks and lunches at DESY are at your charge.)

Challenges of Synthetic Biology: From Theory to Praxis

Information: The aim for the summer school is to provide students with a comprehensive and in-depth insight, both in theory and practice, into a current research topic in the vibrant field of Synthetic Biology.
