Scholarship Opportunity: Summer School in International and European Studies at the University of Vienna
The University of Vienna Sommerhochschule (SHS) program provides a multidimensional survey of the present development of Europe and the European Union (EU). Participants will study both the decision making processes within the EU institutions as well as various aspects of European political culture. The program aims at contributing to an increased understanding of the EU and its possible future shape.
Students from all over the world have been drawn to the program, not only because of the outstanding academic reputation of its European Studies program and the excellent opportunities it offers students to learn German, but also because of its location directly on the shores of one of Austria's most scenic lakes, Lake Wolfgang, in the Salzkammergut region, and because of the area's excellent sports and recreational facilities.

Summer School Highlights:
- summer school is located in the picturesque village of Strobl in the Salzkammergut region, one of Austria’s most attractive summer vacation areas
- students are accommodated in high standard single and double rooms at the program’s beautiful summer campus on the shore of Lake Wolfgang
- the European Studies courses are held in English and focus on Europe and the European Union - they cover political, economic and legal, but also historical and cultural aspects of the multiple transformations the continent is currently undergoing
- the academic courses are taught by distinguished scholars with international teaching experience - like tenured professors from the University of Vienna as well as professors from other renowned universities and leading experts from institutions such as the Austrian Central Bank and the European Commission
- German language courses are offered at four different levels of proficiency
- unique Strobl experience is enhanced by an extensive extracurricular program including sports courses, mountain hiking, and excursions to Salzburg, St. Wolfgang, and the Ebensee Concentration Camp Memorial
- students who successfully attend and complete four courses will receive the SHS Diploma in European Studies'
Applicants must:
- have completed two years of studies at college or university level in their countries of residence or have an educational background equivalent to one year at a European university before the beginning of the program
- be in attendance for the whole period of the summer school
- be able to take part in the number of required courses, have an adequate command of the English language and be in good health
Fees:
- Summer school fees are € 3,000 (include registration, tuition, use of all sports and recreational facilities and all planned excursions)
- External students have to pay the Austrian students’ union fee of € 25.20 to be admitted to the University of Vienna and to enjoy insurance coverage (general accident and liability insurance).
- An additional fee for room and board on campus (includes accommodation and full board (breakfast, lunch, dinner) for the four week program):
- Accommodation in a single room: € 2,453.30
- Accommodation in a double room: € 2,061.30
Scholarship:
- A limited number of partial scholarships ranging from € 1,000 to € 3,000 are available for the European Studies section of the summer school.
- The scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic excellence and financial need.
- In order to receive a scholarship, students must demonstrate their financial need by describing their financial situation and submitting related documents.
- Application deadline for scholarship applications is 31 March, 2026 (!!)

Summer School: Research in Medical Neurosciences at the University of Angers (France)
Summer School Highlights:
Knowledge and Understanding
- Core Neuroscience Concepts: Develop a strong understanding of the structure and function of the nervous system, including key concepts in neuroanatomy, neurophysiology, and neuropathology.
- Neurobiology of Diseases: Understand the mechanisms underlying common neurological disorders, such as multiple sclerosis.
Skills Development
- Hands-On Techniques: Acquire introductory practical skills in neuroscience research, such as brain dissection, microscopy, electrophysiology and neuroimaging analysis.
- Clinical practice: Develop practical clinical skills in emergency medicine and neurology, including advanced cardiac resuscitation (ACR), blood sampling, and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) puncture techniques.

Eligibility:
- The course is open to students who have completed two years of Medicine/Biological Sciences/Pharmacy/Veterinary/Midwifery and who may be interested in pursuing a M.D. or Ph.D. programme and envision a career in scientific or medical research.
- The selection of students will be made considering motivation, English level and previous research experience, if any.
Fees:
- Students from partner universities: 500 €
- Students from non-partner universities: 600 €
- Professionals: 1,000 €
Fees include welcoming and teaching materials, coffee breaks and weekday lunches, social activities, transport pass and all costs related to scientific visits.
The Summer Schools do not cover the costs of passports, visas, health insurance, travel to and from Angers, accommodation, breakfasts dinners.

Taiwan Scholarship Program – stipendia pro absolvování celého studia
- Tchajwanské ministerstvo školství nabízí v rámci Tchajwanského stipendijního programu (Taiwan Scholarship Program) stipendia pro pregraduální (BSP) i postgraduální (MSP, DSP) studium ve kterémkoli oboru.
- Stipendium je udělováno na jeden akademický rok (1. září - 31. srpen) s možností prodloužení o další rok, celkem max. na 4 roky.
- Stipendistům je hrazeno školné do max. výše 40 000 TWD za semestr a vypláceno stipendium v měsíční výši 15 000-20 000 TWD.
- Podmínkami přijetí jsou požadovaná příslušná úroveň vzdělání, výborné studijní výsledky, české státní občanství a velmi dobrá znalost jazyka studia (čínština / angličtina).

Huayu Enrichment Scholarship Program – stipendia pro absolvování intenzivního kurzu mandarínské čínštiny

- Stipendium je poskytováno na dobu 3/ 6/ 9/12 měsíců, přičemž pobyt musí proběhnout mezi 1. zářím a 30. červnem.

Národní univerzita Čcheng-kung, stipendia pro studium polovodičů
- Národní univerzita Čcheng-kung (NCKU) nabízí zahraničním studentům stipendia pro absolvování celého MSP (max. 2 roky) nebo DSP (max. 4 roky) v oblasti polovodičů na Akademii inovativních polovodičů a udržitelné výroby (AISSM).
- AISSM poskytuje interdisciplinární studium zaměřené na polovodičové technologie, chytrou výrobu a udržitelnost.

Scholarship Opportunity: Summer Lithuanian Language and Culture Programme 2026
We are pleased to invite students, lecturers, or researchers of higher education/research institutions to participate in the Lithuanian Language and Culture Summer Course 2026, organized by Klaipeda University and funded by the Education Exchanges Support Foundation.
The intensive summer courses are being held here for 23 years and got a worldwide recognition from Europe to America, from Australia to Japan. Our alumni and course teachers cherish their relationships, making a huge network. Almost 1/3 of alumni participate in our courses again and again, each time improving knowledge of Lithuanian at a more advanced level, and some of them already have become teachers of Lithuanian in their countries!
Programme Information:
- Participants will acquire a certain level of Lithuanian language competence in a group of an appropriate level.
- Language classes will be held every day from Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 12:30 (Lithuanian time).
- Total workload includes 82 academic hours of live communication.
- Homework tasks will take at least some 1 more hour;
- Cultural program will be organized on certain days after classes (after a lunch break) and on weekends. This will include interactive lectures of the culture of Lithuania, traditions and customs, Lithuanian folklore; live and virtual trips, other events (see the Course Program).
- Participants will acquire graduation certificates and 8 ECTS (European study credits) for those who fulfill the teaching program will add to your portfolio!

Funding:
- Selected participants will receive a state scholarship of 962 €.
- Selection is based on academic motivation and recommendation.
Eligibility:
- The candidate has to be a student, lecturer, or researcher of a higher education and research institution of a foreign country (except Russian and Belarusian citizens) or a foreigner of Lithuanian origin (residing not in Lithuania).
- It is possible to apply only to one institution organising the courses at one time.
- Evaluating applications, additional points may be added for applicants who:
- apply for the first time (4 points);
- study Lithuanian language, history and culture in their home country (in)formally or officially (confirmation must be added to the application form): 2 points;
- are citizens of Armenia, Australia, Azerbaijan, Israel, Japan, the United States of America, Kazakhstan, China (People's Republic of China and Taiwan), Moldova, New Zealand, South Korea, Georgia, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan (1 point). - Participation in the courses can be funded for a maximum of 3 times. Participants coming for a contact course will receive a scholarship of 962 eur.
- Lithuanian language proficiency of the candidates must be no higher than C1.
- Documents submitted must be completed in English or Lithuanian only.
- Recommendations can be sent on this form or provided in a free format. The reference letter must include a signature.
