It is a wonderful organization, with interesting people from different countries and with diverse knowledge. I worked in their office, and interns had our own room where we worked together, but we also shared a kitchen and the meeting room with senior members of the institute.

Interns held various positions, including working on various essential tasks and responsibilities, including literature review, research, data preparation for reports, policy briefs, and working papers.
We also worked on preparing summaries for workshops and events, providing support in coordinating activities, and managing Social media.

The scholarship covered around 50% of my expenses; however, I received it all at the very end of my internship, so I had to first cover all expenses myself. The city is quite expensive, the food prices are high.

It is best to shop in Hofer if available as it is cheaper, buy a yearly transport pass as it is also cheaper and try to prepare your food instead of eating out as restaurants are expensive, at least around 12 euros per meal.

No, I only travelled within Vienna, but there are many things to see; I recommend the hilltops around Vienna and all the classical sightseeing, museums, and Prater.

The institute was wonderful as the people were kind, and you learned a lot about international affairs and politics. The city is beautiful, there is a lot to see, there is good food, and you are never bored, there is always something happening.
