We are pleased to announce that Charles University offers a fully funded scholarship for one participant in the prestigious "Clinical Science Scholars Program", a collaborative initiative between Harvard Medical School and Semmelweis University in Budapest. This innovative certification program is designed for physicians and clinical scientists, aiming to develop clinical research capacities in Hungary and Central Europe.

Harvard Medical School’s Clinical Science Scholars (CSS) program at Semmelweis University provides advanced training in health care research and methods. Using a blended learning model that incorporates online tools, live virtual seminars and engaging workshops, the curriculum is focused on enhancing your skills at every stage of the research process–from writing grant proposals and launching new projects to analyzing data and presenting your results.

A blended, nine-month program, CSS is anchored by three workshops – two residential (at Semmelweis University in Budapest and at Harvard Medical School in Boston) and one live virtual workshop – that are designed to offer a mix of traditional and innovative teaching methods. Students will participate in interactive webinars – including review sessions by faculty and special seminars from leading experts – and have access to more than 85 pre-recorded, on-demand lectures.

This flexible cohort model makes it possible to advance your knowledge while allowing you to continue meeting your current personal and professional responsibilities. The 2025–2026 program begins on July 14, 2025, at Semmelweis University in Budapest, Hungary. You can find more information about other workshop dates and the program here.

The Center for Global Education and Japanese Studies at Doshisha University offers a program called “Summer Session”. It is a short-term program to study Japanese language and culture, taking place from July 7 to August 6, 2025.

Participants will study Japanese intensively in small classes with experienced instructors. In addition, they will deepen their understanding of Japanese culture and society through lectures on Japanese culture and variety of cultural activities. Doshisha volunteer students will participate in classes as study partners to support your Japanese language study.

Keep in mind, that the Japanese Language proficiency level has to be from Pre intermediate to Pre-advanced （JLPT N4 to N2 or equivalent).
